The Food for the Needy Committee of St. Philip & St. James Parish sent its thanks to St. Catherine’s parishioners for their generous donation to this year’s food drive. Because of your generosity, 400 baskets were made—enough to feed 1,115 people this year. “It was so kind of you to consider helping us again this year,” the message said.
The working poor in Phillipsburg has been growing so steadily and the food pantry at Catholic Charities has been trying to keep up with the demand. (Read more…)
Deacon Steve will hold an Altar Server Training class on Thursday, December 6th, from 6 to 7 pm at the Parish Center. We are looking for boys and girls in third grade or higher to serve this very important role.
The Altar Server’s role is a unique one in the Catholic Church. Other than priests and deacons, no one else is allowed to so closely play a part in the preparation of the Eucharist. Your participation as an Altar Server is special. (Read more…)
The Rosary Society will be sharing the Giving Tree with various groups within our Church and Diocesan Community.
Gifts will be donated to The Friendship Center for New Beginnings in Flemington (the Center provides aid to single mothers), Life Choices (Phillipsburg), Family Promise, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (CCD Class Project), and parishioners who are in need.
Please take a tag from the tree, purchase the gift, and tape the tag onto the package or envelope. This is our way to properly identify the gift and to know where the gift should be delivered. (Read more…)

World Marriage Day Celebration: Love One Another
In celebration of World Marriage Day, Sunday, February 10, 2019, we will honor the lifelong commitment of husband and wife. A Renewal of Vows as well as a Blessing of Rings will take place during Mass at St. Catherine’s the weekend of February 9-10.
Loving one another as husband and wife is a daily decision, simple but challenging. It is an ongoing process of learning about each other and how to accommodate differences so that both spouses can feel satisfied and grow in love for each other. (Read more…)
