Our Annual Parish Picnic will be held on September 30th, immediately following the 11 o’clock Mass. Tickets are now on sale after all Masses. Signup sheets are on display in the parish center narthex—opportunities to help in all areas are still available.

The St. Catherine’s Rosary Society will once again be collecting “new or gently used” handbags for women and teens, and filling each handbag with 10-12 new items (see list below). Handbags will be donated to the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center, Washington/Oxford, NJ and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bronx, NY.
The Rosary Society is asking parish members to help us with the collection by donating new and gently used handbags and/or new filler items. (Read more…)

My Sisters and Brothers—This week’s report released by the Pennsylvania Grand Jury following an investigation of cases of sexual abuse of minors by clergy in six dioceses of Pennsylvania, dating back to the 1940s was devastating. When we hear of such abuse, our hearts ache for the pain so many have suffered at the hands of those who were entrusted with their spiritual care. (Read more…)

I know that so much of the news regarding the Church this whole summer has been painful and very difficult for all of us. The bad news seemingly does not end.
