On Wednesday, May 11th, thirty-one young people of our Parish Family celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation. It was an uplifting celebration not only for the Confirmandi and their families but also for us who received this sacrament many years ago.
A special thank you to Bishop Emeritus Bootkoski for presiding at the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Also a special thanks to Mrs. Sandra Kopka for facilitating the Confirmation program. I am very grateful for her work and selfless efforts to prepare these young people for the Sacrament of Confirmation over a series of weeks.
Thank you also to our eighth grade catechists – Deacon Mike, Mrs. Raho, Mrs. Sforza, and Mrs. Young, as well as our wonderful musicians, Lisa Sforza and Nancy Coletti.
I am grateful for the help and service of our Altar servers; Rosary Society; Hospitality Ministry; and the 7th grade class for facilitating and making our celebration a special event.
Above all thank you young men and women who responded to God’s call in the Sacrament of Confirmation. May the Holy Spirit transform you, give you courage, a deeper spirit of service to those who need you and, most of all, give you a deeper love for God. Your families and friends need you; your Parish also needs you; and the Church and the World need you to bring the true love and message of Jesus Christ.
