Don’t forget your ShopRite gift cards

ShopRite Gift Cards are available for purchase after each Mass and from the church business office during the week. Use the cards during your regular shopping trips—it’s a great way to support parish programs at no cost you. Simply use the card to pay for any purchase and any remaining balance stays on the card.

Cards are offered in denominations of $25, $50, and $100, and 5% of every sale goes to the parish as fundraising for our programs to help those in need. (Read more…)

Help others, save the planet with your used clothing

Clothing donations

Thinking about cleaning out the closets for Summer? Clothing donation bins are located at the Parish Center parking lot. Your clothing donations will be shipped throughout the US, Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

For the use of our Parish Center site, we will receive a monthly payment of $100 for each bin. As we help others by donating clothing, we also help our Parish gain funds toward our Building Campaign.

A giant crane made a dramatic site as it lifted trusses for the new roof into place. Parishioner Rich Kopf shared these photos from the scene, which we’ve included in a new photo gallery available here and on the TV in the parish hall narthex.

Knights of Columbus eye/sunglasses collection

St. Catherine’s Knights of Columbus Council is collecting used eyeglasses and sunglasses during the Month of May, at the Knights Corner in the Parish Center narthex. They are collecting the glasses to be distributed to needy people in our area and around the world. Please consider donating your no-longer-needed eyewear and give the gift of improved sight to those in need. (Read more…)

Ascension Thursday


This Thursday we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, commemorating that day when Jesus was taken up to heaven, to the glory of his Father 40 days after he rose from the dead and 10 days before the Feast of the Pentecost. What is so significant or important about this feast?

Once, I was asked, “If Jesus loves us and lives forever, why did he leave?” It’s an excellent question. If we consider the Ascension simply in terms of Jesus leaving us, then we might wonder why He did it. (Read more…)
